Siemens Product Launch - SITRANS F X Vortex Flow Meter
This new vortex sensor does more than just measure flow. This highly versatile sensor is designed to measure flow and temperature as well as energy in process industries. The FX330 is well-suited for applications that require precise measurement of temperature, steam flow and steam energy as well as liquid and gas flows.
The standard version of the SITRANS FX330 is equipped with temperature compensation for measuring saturated steam and eliminating the need for external temperature sensors. Upgraded with the optional pressure sensor, the SITRANS FX330 turns into a multi-purpose sensor that combines flow, temperature and pressure measurement in one device. In short, the FX330 is capable of detecting and measuring a wide range of process values, including mass, volume, temperature and pressure, directly from a single device.
The SITRANS FX330 combines the proven advantages of a well-established sensor with new state-of-art transmitter technology.
A series of new product features is available with the FX330:
Greater than 10% reduced price point over the FX300
SIL2 certified according to IEC 61508 Edition 2
Increased pressure ranges available for the pressure sensor
All software variants are stored on the device, so you can upgrade the functionality manually via the display
Improved noise filtering with Advanced Vortex Frequency Detection (AVFD)
Addition of a (4 – 20 mA) input for additional temperature input that allows for net heat measurement
Redundant data storage to protect data
Gross and net heat calculation to support advanced energy management
