Kistler Instruments’ Pressure and Acceleration Sensors –
The Ideal Solution for Gas Turbine Monitoring

October 2019, MARIETTA, GA ~ Lean Dry Low NOx combustion is characterized by potentially highly unstable processes. By means of pressure pulsation and vibration monitoring, combustion dynamics can be kept under control. Kistler sensors allow to measure directly in the combustor and deliver reliable results. Kistler’s modular sensor portfolio is comprised of a variety of sensors, to include Ex-versions certified in accordance with strict ATEX directives.

Advantages of Kistler Gas Turbine Monitoring products:

  • Resistant to ultra-high temperature (700°C)

  • Extremely durable sensors for continuous use in harsh environments

  • Interference resistant (EMI, RF)

  • High signal quality (signal-to-noise ratio)

  • Reliable measurements also under transient conditions (neither pyroelectric effect, nor popcorn effect)

  • Modular sensor design for fast implementation of different geometries

  • Complete differential, ground insulated measuring chains

  • Compliance with common explosion protection requirements (Ex)

High Temperature Pressure Sensor (700°C), dia = 9.5 mm
Type 6021A

High temperature differential output pressure sensor for measuring lowest pressure fluctuations in a harsh environment up to 700°C. For applications in hazardous areas, the sensor is available with intrinsically safe Ex-ia and non-incendive Ex-nA certifications.

Differential Charge Amplifier, non-Ex Version
Type 5181A

Non-Ex Version of the differential charge amplifier family 518x which offers highest flexibility, wide selectable gain, low and high pass filters and many signal output options. This amplifier is available in Al-die cast casing or DIN rail enclosure.

High Temperature Acceleration Sensor (700°C)
Type 8209A

High temperature differential output acceleration sensor for measuring vibrations in a harsh environment up to 700°C. For applications in hazardous areas, the sensor is available with intrinsically safe Ex-ia and non-incendive Ex-nA certifications.
